3 Considerations When Choosing a Dental IT Company

As a dental professional, your focus is providing the best care for your patients. But have you ever stopped to consider the ripple effect of your choices in technology and IT support? When looking for the best IT company for your dental practice, make sure you consider these three things:

Specialized-Expertise-Icon

Specialized Expertise

Navigating the dental industry’s unique technological needs requires specialized knowledge. Dental-specific software, like practice management systems (such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft) and digital imaging software can be complex and are often paired with hardware designed for dental settings, such as imaging tools and intraoral cameras. An IT company’s familiarity with these dental-specific technologies can make a significant difference in problem resolution and system optimization.

HIPAA is Top-Priority

HIPAA is Top-Priority

An IT company that specializes in the healthcare industry, such as Pact-One Solutions, understands the intricate requirements of HIPAA and adheres to strict data management policies. They can provide a suite of services and knowledge base geared specifically towards maintaining compliance - safeguarding both patient data and your practice from legal repercussions.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity

Data security is paramount in the dental field. As an industry that handles a wealth of sensitive patient information, IT services for dental practices must prioritize cybersecurity. The right IT partner is concerned not just with support itself, but also with your network health, like identifying potential liabilities or weaknesses in your system that may expose patient records and threaten your practice’s reputation.
